I am always in a state of exploring. It could be pyhsical exploration such as traveling and flying or it could be exploring new ideas and techniques like I have done with this series. The series consist of side by side stereoscopic images that look similar but are actually different. When one looks at them with the help of a stereo viewer, the brain combines the two images and a new 3D image with new colors appears.
"Road" - One of my signature photographs. I shot two stereo photographs of the wet cobblestones and painted them in complementary colors. When the two images are viewed with the help of a stereoscopic viewer the opposite colors cancel each other out and a black and white single 3D image appears. "Fish" - I had heard that there was a fish museum in Istanbul. It turned out to be a dinky room with many sea creatures in glass containers made by fishermen in a fisherman's wharf. This fish was the most interesting one at the museum. My aim was to separate the stereo images from each other by processing them in different colors. "Tattoo" - The stereoscopic nude images are in complementary colors resulting in high contrast when viewed with the naked eye. I have created the images to hold on their own but if you want to see the combined 3D image you can look through a stereo viewer.
"Oludeniz" - I have shot these bird's-eye images of the Oludeniz lagoon while flying in my paramotor from high above. I was not sure if making a stereoscopic image while flying would be possible but it worked perfectly! "Woman" - The right component of the stereoscopic image have more natural colors wheres the left part is out of this world. I have created the images to hold on their own but if you want to see the combined 3D image you can look through a stereo viewer.
"Train" - My son Murat on a train wagon. I have designed the colors to be both complementary and similar. I have created the images to hold on their own but if you want to see the combined 3D image you can look through a stereo viewer.
"Aspendos" - Stereoscopic image of the best-preserved theatre of antiquity, the famous Roman Theatre of Aspendos in opposite colors.
